My Big Girl!

The past two Sunday's were a two of those happy/sad monumental days when you finally realize that your little baby girl is not so little and definitely not a baby, anymore. And somewhere and somehow over these last 17 months, she has changed into this "big girl" right before your eyes!! Macie was moved up to the Blue Suede Shoes class week before last at church, which in my definition of the "big kid" class. They go from playing in the floor with toys the entire time in her old class, to singing songs about Jesus, making crafts, having a small Bible lesson, playing outside, and sitting in little chairs having snack around the table with the other kids in her new class! Where has all the time gone??!!! It was amazing to see her interacting with the other kids and following the instruction of her new teachers. You could tell she knew it was a "new class" and there was this look on her face that beamed "I'm a big girl now".....such a sweet moment! I was reminded today that I must continue to savor EVERY moment with my sweet little girl, because she is growing up SO fast!

A GREAT Recipe!

I LOVE to cook and this is one of my new FAVORITE recipes! I got it from my friend, Amanda Savage, so I thought I would share it with everyone else out there who is enjoys cooking! I promise, you won't be dissapointed!

Herb-Roasted Pork Tenderloin
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 t. dried thyme
1 t. dried marjoram
1 t. rubbed sage
1 t. garlic powder
1 t. onion powder
1 t. ground ginger
1 t. salt
1 t. pepper
1 (1 1/2 lb) pkg. pork tenderloin

Stir together first 11 ingredients in a zip-top freezer bag.
Prick pork with a fork and place in marinade, turning to coat. Seal and let stand at room temperature 30 minutes or chill 2 hours. Remove
from marinade, discarding marinade. Place pork on a rack in a roasting pan. I marinated mine all day since I wasn't going to be home during the day and it turned out great!

Bake at 350 for 40-60 minutes or until a meat thermometer inserted into
thickest portion registers 160. (I had to cook it longer than
40 minutes -- it took about an hour for me).

Enjoy!

Crazy Headaches!

Not a whole lot new to post. I have been "down and out" with headaches for the last 3 days! I have been battling these crazy headaches now for many years, but just over the last few years they have gotten increasingly worse, and over the past year they have seem to come on more often than usual! About a month ago, I saw an allergist at the recommendation of the ENT and discovered that I was allergic to trees! I know, my thoughts exactly, TREES?? Anyways, I now am taking medication twice a day for that, plus allergy shots once a week for the next year. I also saw a headache doctor several weeks ago to try and figure these things out and of course he told me what I already knew.....I am having migraines. The doctor explained that migraines HATE change and their are several factors that are triggering them....the allergies, the weather, my birth control/cycle, ect..... Up until this point the only thing that I have found to remotely cute the "edge" off the headaches has been BC powder (2 at a time) which is SO bad for my stomach, but "OH SO GOOD" when I am unable to function because of my headaches!! We are currently testing out some migraine medications, but so far the only luck I have had are some TERRIBLE scary side effects as a result of the meds! So in my mind I am battling what is worse...the debilitating headaches or the side effects of the medication?? It is one scary thing when you are taking medication that is messing with all the neurological stuff in your brain! So, all of this to say, PLEASE just keep me in your prayers! I am praying that we can find a medication to help, that doesn't offer their unpleasant side effects or that the Lord would just flat out take these crazy things away!! When these crazy headaches come on I find it so hard to function and lately that has been a lot...and when you have a baby at home and a house and husband to take care of, it just gets a bit overwhelming!!!:O
