Nap Time.....

I have had a terrible cold over the last couple of days, that has developed into a sinus infection. Yesterday morning I woke up feeling completely miserable!! And of course, when your pregnant there is not much as far as medication that you can take, so my sweet, amazing hubby decided to stay at home with Macie so I could get some much needed rest. Daddy and Macie ran some errands in the morning (one of them being picking me up some antibiotics-PRAISE THE LORD), and then upon their return, daddy decided to put Macie down for a nap. I decided to go on back to bed for a while, but after not being able to fall asleep, I thought I would take a shower. After about an hour, I came into congratulate my husband on a job well done getting Macie to take a nap (something that has been a MAJOR task these last few days). He was impressed with himself as well stating "she didn't even cry!!!". So, I decided I would go in an check on her and upon reaching her door, I saw her light was on from under her door. My first thought was ????Sleeping with the lights on???? So I slowly opened the door and this is what I found.....................

(I guess she decied to play dress up instead of napping??)
OH! And the green/blue stool in the back is how she managed to turn her lights on!

(She had completely ransacked her bedroom, ripping things from the drawers)

(Just another view of her playtime, during naptime!!)

Apparently this is what naptime looks like when daddy is in charge!!! I could not help but to laugh (uncontrollably). At least if she wasn't going to take a nap, she decided to play EXTREMELY quiet in her room for a whole HOUR, while both of thought she had been sleeping! OH THE JOYS OF A 2 YEAR OLD!!!

Later, Jason stated, "I guess that HI-C orange drink I got her at McDonalds wired her just a little bit"...UM YOU THINK!!!! Sugar before nap time is ALWAYS lethal!!!!!

Harper's Dedication

On Sunday, one of my best friends Lea was able to dedicate her sweet baby boy at church! Dedications are always such a special moment because it is a sweet, symbolic time where us moms and dads get to dedicate our little ones to the Lord. In dedicating our babies, we are making a commitment to the Lord, that we will do all that we can to raise that child to know and love the Lord by providing them with Godly teaching and a Christ centered home. It is also a time where we "give" our baby over to the Lord, entrusting them into HIS hands!! What a special time! It was such an honor to see Lea giving sweet Harper to the Lord on Sunday! Lea and Harper, I LOVE you both!!

Miss Macie Claus!

For Macie's birthday she received this SUPER cute winter Hanna Anderson dress and tights from her Aunt Cathy, Uncle Todd, and cousins Abbie and Kate! She wore it this Sunday to church and she was TOO CUTE! I had to take a few pictures in front of the tree! Thank you Aunt Cathy, Uncle Todd, Abbie and Kate!

Happy Birthday Uncle B!

Saturday night we celebrated Uncle B's birthday at Osaka in Collierville. Although the adults had a fun time, Macie did not! She was TERRIFIED of the fire at the table where they cooked our food, and the banging of the utensils while our cook was "putting on his show"! She clung to Jason for dear life the entire time! After we left, we headed to Kay Kay's house for some cake and ice cream. Macie was much more happy there! We had a great time celebrating Uncle B's birthday!

22 weeks!

Time is flying by now with this pregnancy, thanks to the holidays and all the things we've had going on these last two months! Little Caleb, has been growing strong, and moving strong as well! He definitely is making his presence known! It is such an incredible thing feeling life grow inside of you! I've been feeling great lately and hoping it will last! I've done well with my weight gain, and my blood pressure has been great as well. The belly is growing VERY rapidly, which means the maternity clothes are in full force. Our next appointment is the first week in January and is just a regular check up. Please continue to pray that all remains healthy with me and sweet Caleb during the pregnancy and the blood pressure stays NORMAL!! We don't want another early/NICU baby!

Carrie Underwood!

For Jason's birthday, I surprised him with tickets to the Carrie Underwood concert in Nashville. I bought the tickets back in July and kept it a surprise until 3 weeks ago! To make it even more special, the whole family (Wendy, Brad, and Mrs. Kay) and extended family (Cathy, Todd, Abbie, and Kate) came along! We spent the weekend in Columbia, Tennessee with the family: shopping, eating, and hanging out in Nashville; and then ended the weekend with the concert on Sunday night! It was so much fun! We had great seats and Carrie put on an incredible show! The opening show (Little Big Town) was even great! And thanks Jason's WONDERFUL Aunt Cathy, we had a GREAT babysitter, who took great care of Macie, and even took her to a church Christmas program! It was a great weekend!

Play Dates!

Over the last two weeks we have had TONS of playdates! Usually, the moms join along to keep me company, but the last three play dates have been just for Macie (and so the moms could take a break/run errands, go to work, or go Christmas shopping!) Us moms have to look out for each other, this job isn't easy!!:-). It has been so much fun experiencing life with 2 children in the house! I can't wait to have Caleb here! Macie LOVES the company and I enjoy her excitement of having her friends over!

Loving her some Harper Haley!

She had to be by his side EVERY minute!

Guarding Harper like a hawk! She is going to do great with her baby brother!

Happy Birthday Macie!

My sweet baby girl turned 2 years old on November 29. It is amazing to see how much she has grown in just 2 short years! She is an amazing little girl, who is: beautiful, energetic, happy, loving, funny, bright, and FULL of life! She makes my heart smile every day! For her birthday, we had an Elmo birthday party, and invited all of our family. She was so excited about all the decorations, the people, the cake and ice-cream, and of course THE PRESENTS!!! She kept saying "party party" even after everyone had gone home:) It was a wonderful birthday for her. I am looking forward to what this next year holds in our sweet little girls life!

Trip to PARADISE!

For our 5 year anniversary, Jason and I went on a Royal Caribbean 5 night cruise to Ocho Rios, Jamaica and George Town, Grand Cayman! It was so much fun!! We were blessed to have our parents share the responsibility of keeping Macie while we were gone! We missed her so much, but it was so nice to have some away time together before baby number 2 arrives. The islands were BEAUTIFUL and it was so nice being pampered for 6 days straight!! What woman doesn't like not having to clean her house, make her bed, cook for the family, clean up after cooking, take care of the kids, get up at 6 a.m.!!! It was LIFE for 6 wonderful days! Jason and I had some great quality time together and made memories we will never forget!

My Dream Come True!

On November 21, Jason and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary!  I can't believe how fast these last 5 years have gone by, but I can say they have been the BEST 5 years of my life! I am married to THE MOST amazing husband ever! He is patient, gentle, humble, kind, loving, hard working, an amazing father, husband, and best friend~the list could go on FOREVER! Every day that goes by I love even more!

Happy Halloween!

Our afternoon started off with the pumpkin carving festivities. Macie picked out a "kitty cat" stencil for the pumpkin and daddy began carving. It looked great! We invited the grandparents over for dinner (potato soup and cornbread...YUM) and to go trick-or-treating with us! It was so much fun watching Macie get so excited about dressing up and going door to door to get candy from the neighbors! It didn't take her long before she got the hang of it and after each house she started saying "more...more"!! Our little Dorthy with her dog Toto was PRECIOUS!! Although, by the end of the night we had ourselves one sugar hyped up two year old!!!

16 Weeks

(What the baby looks like at 16 weeks) AMAZING!!!!

We had a doctor's appointment for my 16 week check-up on Friday and everything looked great!  They were able to find the heartbeat right away (150 bpm).  That little "swish swish" is always such a beautiful sound to hear! Our next visit we find out what we are having!!! (Although I'm still thinking it's a girl:)! The baby is really starting to grow and so am I, although I am at the extremely awkward stage where unless you know I'm expecting, one is left asking, "is she pregnant, or putting on some major weight in her midsection:) Hopefully in the next several weeks the maternity clothes won't look so big anymore.  I am also eagerly awaiting feeling the baby move!  With Macie, I felt her at the end of 17 weeks.  It's something I look forward to because it's the reassuring feeling that there "really is" a baby in there:)

13 Weeks

Praise the Lord I have made it through my first trimester!! We had a doctor's appointment last week and the baby looked great!  We heard the heartbeat with the doplar for the first time (165 bpm) and we also got to have another ultrasound!  It was amazing to see our little one moving all around and kicking it's little arms and legs! It actually looked like a real baby this time as apposed to a little "peanut":)  Simply amazing!  The sickness has gone for the most part (Amen!) and the exhaustion is getting better, but I'm still pretty worn out by the end of the day.  I am having some issues with my gallbladder, but the doctor is going to keep an eye on it and I'm trying to watch my diet to keep it from getting worse!  I'm definitely getting bigger and a lot faster than with Macie. My regular pants are LONG gone and the maternity clothes are slowly starting to make their way out of the closet:) Only 6 more weeks and we find out the sex!!! At this point, I'm thinking girl:)

Bartlett Festival 2008

Last Saturday it was such a beautiful day we thought we would take Macie to the Bartlett Festival. She had a great time. Her favorite part was the shuttle ride from her Poppie's McDonalds to the festival. She also enjoyed all the candy and balloons she got! She had a great time especially since her Nonnie came with us!

Midsouth Fair 2008!

Last Friday morning, Jason and I decided we would have some fun family time and take Macie to the Midsouth Fair. We had loads of fun! Macie's favorite parts were the petting zoo's, where she got to feed and pet the animals. And of course mommy and daddy's favorite part was the YUMMY fair food!! There is nothing better than Pronto Pups and Funnel Cakes! And of course Macie LOVED the Cotton Candy! I was a little disappointed (ok actually a lot disappointed) that the kiddy rides didn't open up until 1:30 and we definitely knew Macie wouldn't last that long since we got there at 10:00, so we settled for the petting zoo's, yummy food, and walking around in the beautiful sunshine! Everyone had a blast!
