14 Weeks!

How Far Along: 14 weeks

Size of baby: Baby #3 about 3.5 inches long (weighs about 3 ounces)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 1 pound

Maternity Clothes: Fixing to be moving into the the maternity pants, I'm over the belly band :)

Gender: Well it's EXTREMELY early, but we found out yesterday (at a 14 week ultrasound) that we are having another baby BOY!!! Heart Rate was 150. Of course, we will confirm at the 20 week ultrasound just to be sure :)

Movement: None yet, but it sure was wiggling all around in the ultrasound :) I felt movement with Caleb at 15 weeks and Macie at 17 weeks, so I'm hoping it won't be long now!

Food Cravings: SALTY! SALTY! SALTY! Although, I do love a green Granny Smith apple every day too! Proteins are also on the list. I am LOVING chicken salad right now!!! I still have NO desire for anything sweet AT ALL!!!

What I miss: Getting a full nights sleep with no wake ups and (selfishly) my figure...but I know it's ALL worth it!!! :)

Sleep: Depends on the night. I usually can fall asleep easy, but if I wake up, I have a really hard time going back to sleep. I usually have about 3 potty breaks each night :) I've found if I nap during the day my nights are worse, but if I don't, I usually sleep better....so I'm torn (enjoy a nap during the day or sleep well at night!!)

Symptoms: Lots of trips to the potty, TERRIBLE indigestion, I'm still really tired in the afternoons/evenings and have occasional nausea, but the "sick/green" stage is definitely getting MUCH better. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!! :)

Best Moment this week:
Finding out our sweet baby is a BOY!!! :)

What I am looking forward to: Feeling the baby move! I'm sure it will be in the next few weeks!!

12 Weeks-Pregnancy Highlights!

How Far Along: 12 weeks

Size of baby: Baby #3 is 6cm (about 2.4 inches)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: None so far! Same as my first appointment at 7 weeks.

Maternity Clothes: Not Yet.. but I've broken out the Belly Band. I'm sure maternity pants will be arriving soon! ;) The belly just started popping out in the last week!

Gender: Not sure yet! My first two appointments the baby's heart rate was VERY high (in the 170's) which lead me to think GIRL for sure, BUT today it was 153....so I stumped now! Macie's was ALWAYS high and Caleb's was always low! Hmmmmmm........

Movement: None yet, but it sure was wiggling all around in the ultrasound :)

Food Cravings: I've have felt SO sick that the thought of food wasn't really been on the top of my list for the last couple of months, BUT lately I have been craving chips and dip, meats (hamburgers, chicken, chicken salad), fruits (plums and grapes), cereal....but I have NO desire to eat sweets...YUCK! And this makes the "baker" inside of me sad :(

What I miss: Being able to run and workout like I was prior to pregnancy.

Sleep: Depends on the night. I usually can fall asleep easy, but if I wake up, I have a really hard time going back to sleep. And I wake up SUPER early....which is NOT like me :)

Symptoms: Nausea, vomiting, EXTREME exhaustion/fatigue, lots of trips to the potty, TERRIBLE indigestion, MISERABLE headaches....... (this has been the hardest of all 3 pregnancies so far!!)

Best Moment this week: Feeling like I *might* be getting some of my energy back and a little less nausea. AND getting to see our sweet little baby wiggling all around on the ultrasound :)

What I am looking forward to: Feeling "human" again! Ha! And having enough energy to clean my house and cook again! It's SO hard for me to feel so unmotivated!!

And Another Baby Makes #3 !!!

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:13-14

We are so excited to announce that the Lord has chosen to bless us with Baby Long #3!!! Our due date is April 27th, 2012 and I've FINALLY made it to the 12 week mark! Praise the Lord! It's been a TOUGH couple of months full of feeling REALLY yucky, being sick, exhausted beyond belief, and all those other fun first trimester "blessings" :) but I'm praying that there is relief around the corner with the 2nd trimester :) We are just thankful for a healthy baby so far! Praise the Lord!

Here are a few cute pics from my 12 week ultrasound:

Sweet profile picture!

Look at it's little feet!! Precious!
Baby sucking on it's hand! Cute!
Face front picture, saying "hi Mom and Dad" :)

Sucking on it's little hand again!! :)

My appointment today was for a regular check-up and Nuchal Translucency testing . This test is where an ultrasound is done to measure the clear (translucent) space in the tissue at the back of your developing baby's neck and bloodwork to determine if there are any possible chromosomal abnormalities. The baby's nuchal fold was within "normal" limits. There was something that the teach was not able to measure during the ultrasound today, so we will be going back for another ultrasound in 2 weeks. We should get the results of the blood work in about 1 week. We are praying that everything looks good with the blood work and at the next ultrasound as well.

Baby's Measurement 12 Weeks: 6 cm (2.4 inches)
Baby's Heart Rate: 153 bpm
