Happy Halloween!

Our afternoon started off with the pumpkin carving festivities. Macie picked out a "kitty cat" stencil for the pumpkin and daddy began carving. It looked great! We invited the grandparents over for dinner (potato soup and cornbread...YUM) and to go trick-or-treating with us! It was so much fun watching Macie get so excited about dressing up and going door to door to get candy from the neighbors! It didn't take her long before she got the hang of it and after each house she started saying "more...more"!! Our little Dorthy with her dog Toto was PRECIOUS!! Although, by the end of the night we had ourselves one sugar hyped up two year old!!!

16 Weeks

(What the baby looks like at 16 weeks) AMAZING!!!!

We had a doctor's appointment for my 16 week check-up on Friday and everything looked great!  They were able to find the heartbeat right away (150 bpm).  That little "swish swish" is always such a beautiful sound to hear! Our next visit we find out what we are having!!! (Although I'm still thinking it's a girl:)! The baby is really starting to grow and so am I, although I am at the extremely awkward stage where unless you know I'm expecting, one is left asking, "is she pregnant, or putting on some major weight in her midsection:) Hopefully in the next several weeks the maternity clothes won't look so big anymore.  I am also eagerly awaiting feeling the baby move!  With Macie, I felt her at the end of 17 weeks.  It's something I look forward to because it's the reassuring feeling that there "really is" a baby in there:)
