The FAMOUS Dora Shoes~

A few weeks ago, the family ventured out in hopes to find some tables and chairs for one of the rooms at church. We had run into Garden Ridge (off Summer) in hopes of finding a good deal, but had no luck. So Jason decided we try Big Lots on Summer. This was my first Big Lots experience and I have to say I was quite surprised at the array of things the store had to offer:-) Well, leave it up to a toddler to find something in a store like this that they MUST have! That "must-have" item were these plastic clog Dora shoes! Oh, I when I say she HAD to have them, she HAD TO HAVE THEM! We weren't getting out of the store without them:-) So we explained to her that she could use her allowance (yes we are encouraging Dave Ramsey techniques early) if she wanted them.....and she did just that!

Since that day, she has NOT let those shoes out of her site! Seriously....they go to bed with her, to the bathroom with her, to her Nonnie and Pop Pops house with her, and even to Target with her!! It has taken a few falls for her to learn how to walk graciously walk in them, but she LOVES them!! Best $7.00 she has ever spent:-)

Bath Time~Viewer Discretion Advised:-)

I'm LOVING having 2 kids! One of the most fun times of the day for everyone is bath time! I started putting Macie and Caleb in the bath together and she LOVES it! She begs to take a bath with her "brudder Cayub"! It works for me because I knock both of them out at the same time and it's so fun to watch them interact (as much as he can being only 3 months old)! And there is no greater smell than 2 freshly clean babies!!! I know I won't be able to do this forever, so I'm savoring the sweet moments while I can!

Zoo Day With Nonnie!

Last Friday Nonnie was off work for the 4th of July, so we decided to invite her to come with us to the Zoo. It wasn't too hot earlier that morning, so we got to see all of Macie's favorite animals without completely melting! Her favorite part was the Birds and the Bee's Exhibit! It was her first time to go through and she LOVED feeding the birds! Especially when they would hop on her stick and she could walk around with them:-) We had a great time and even got to visit Pop Pop afterwards at McDonalds for some lunch! We always love it when Nonnie is able to hang out with us!

Brotherly~Sisterly Love

I have to admit, I am LOVING having a boy and a girl! It's so much fun to see just how different little girls are from little boys:-) Both of them are so unique and different in their own ways!! I am so crazy about both my sweet babies!

First swim of the year!

Happy Birthday Shelby!

Macie's sweet friend Shelby turned 2 a couple of weeks ago, so we celebrated with her at her Micky Mouse birthday party at their new gorgeous house in Piperton! Shelby used to live across the street from us, but moved a year ago to her new house, we have missed her so much:-( The party was a blast! The kids played outside on the swing, blew bubbles, chased bouncy balls in the field behind their house, ate cake, and played on this super cool toy called a Jump-O-Lene!! Macie had so much fun that she did not want to leave, hence the MAJOR meltdown she had when it was time to leave:-) Happy Birthday Shelby!

Ready for cake!! YUM!
